Bible Story

Jesus and the Little Children
Mark 10:13-16

Jesus is gentle and tells the disciples to let the children come to Him.

"Jesus answered, 'I am the way and the truth and the life.'"

John 14:6, NIV

ENGAGE IN EVERYDAY MOMENTS TOGETHER

Morning Time

When you go into your child’s room, say: "Good morning! Let’s snuggle before we start the day."
 

Drive Time

While on the go, ask your child: "Which of these words are gentle words: 'Go away!' or 'Come sit with me.' (pause) Yes! Jesus chose gentle words and told the little children to come to Him."

Cuddle Time

Cuddle with your child and pray: "God, thank You that Jesus is so gentle and showed us that children are important to Him."
 

Bath Time

Make bubbles during bath time (with bubble bath or by blowing bubbles). Tell your child you're both going to practice being gentle and see if you can pick up bubbles without popping them.
