God loves me no matter what.

Bible Story

Gideon Is Afraid
Judges 6:2-4, 11-12

Gideon is so afraid that he hides in a hole to do his work, and God sends an angel to talk to him.

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart."

Proverbs 3:5, NIV

Morning Time

When you go into your child’s room, say: "Good morning, [child's name]! No matter what happens today, we can trust God with all our hearts!"

Drive Time

While on the go, ask your child if they have ever felt afraid. Share a time when you felt afraid, too. Tell your child that we can always talk to God when we feel afraid because He loves us.

Cuddle Time

Cuddle with your child and pray: "God, I'm so thankful we can always talk to You when we feel afraid. Please help us remember how much You love us and that You are always with us."

Bath Time

Add a foam heart and three plastic cups to bath time. Place the cups top down on the side of the tub with the heart under one of the cups. Tell your child to guess where the heart is. Put the heart under a different cup each time you play. Each time your child finds the heart, say, "God loves you!"
